Joanna Fallon Studio portrait profile

If my opening pitch to be your brand designer was to say “I hate branding”, would I totally lose you?

If you’re still curious enough to be reading this, I think that’s a good sign. Let me introduce myself - hi, I’m Joanna 👋, a design nerd whose ears pick up if I hear anyone mention “kerning”, “cats” or “[insert obscure 1970s heavy-psych band name here]”.

We’re in a world where everyone’s talking about being a ‘personal brand’, ‘owning a brand’ or being ‘on brand’. I want that to feel less like the commodification and/or over-curation of your personality, and more like the visual language of your values. Because it’s the latter part that I love to get stuck into.

When we work together, we go for authenticity over surface-level polish. Something that still looks professional in a way that shows conviction in what you’re building, but also tells your story and lets people into your personality. My approach is less about trying to fabricate something new, and more about fully expressing what’s already there deep in your bones.

Because when your branding feels real to you, it removes the ‘ick’. It lets you show up clearly, confidently and connects to your audience in a way that feels tribal, not transactional.
